FAQs
Q1. How long should I Body rock my self or others ?
A Like rocking a baby, just a few moments can make a difference. You will learn by experience
Q2. How significant is it to rock your body gently side to side?
A Such movements incorporate a slight twist which engages the whole body. -Very simple
Q3. Can I use BR to help my daughter/son who was bullied at A school.
Your 10yr old daughter/son comes home from school distressed (overwhelm) and tells you she has been bullied. You have her sit on a chair ,rock her from her knees and invite her to tell you what happened-without judgement. Then ask where she might feel the bullying. "In my tummy "she might say. You say " lets tell it to go away" and you rock her accordingly. You are giving her brain a specific instruction Result . She is less likely to be stressed (ie; not in overwhelm) when she returns to school. Also less likely to experience long term effects.
Q4. When helping another person do I need to pose particular questions while I rock.
A Helping another person. Just keep it simple while you rock. Use the instruction'" Whatever shock and emotions are associated with for that to be resolved. Changes CAN occur quickly. Using questions associated with the Stress Signature accesses another level.
Q5. Can emotional and physical shock affect us long term?
A Long term shock. When we experience an injury ,our body enters
a state of shock to help us cope, My experience suggests that some of this shock may not dissipate as we move forward in life;
it can become intertwined with associated emotions which can become locked in your body. Use the above instruction when
helping self or another. People who have experienced head injuries and concussion (eg from contact sports)can experience considerable benefits. For example I worked with an elderly lady
in Canada who had suffered 15 concussions through out her life. Following about10 minutes of rocking while focusing on the above instruction she came in next day to say that her brain felt clearer had it had been in years and that she had more energy to
manage her household.
Q6. How do I rock my pet dog.
A Rocking your pet dog. Simply rocking them side to side, whether they are standing or lying down. While doing so issue the instruction above-Whatever shock---etc .
They are unlikely to understand the words but their brain will comprehend the INTENT. Use when your dog has been through emotional ( e.g. dog rescue )or physical trauma . Again change can occur quickly.
More interesting items
Using BR in an emergency. For example while you are visiting a friend she receives a phone call to inform her that her daughter had been involved in an accident and was on her way to hospital, as a result your friend becomes overwhelmed. You tell her to sit down and begin to rock her from her knees using large movements. Initially and instructing her to take deep breaths. This helps regain control and once she feels more settled, you can reduce the the movements. Result-She will emerge forever better equipped to manage the crisis. And the shock and associated emotions are less likely to have long term effects.
